Organization:
Area: 20y x 15y
Organization: Set up two small goals on the end line. The teams start between the goals along with the Feeder. The Feeder plays the ball onto the field to start each 1v1. The player who wins the ball must first dribble over the end line before turning and attacking the small goals. Rotate opponents after several turns.
Variation: Defenders attack the goals after winning the ball.
Game: Players keep track of their goals. Keep team scores.
Focus Points:
- Quick reaction from the players when the coach passes the ball onto the field.
Attacking
- Dribbling technique. Keep the ball close and shield the ball.
- Feel where the defender is and either turn to the left or right. Bring up inside arm when turning to shield off the defender.
- Go around the defender and explode.
- Change direction and go to other goal.
- Score as quickly as possible.
Defending
- Immediate pressure on the ball.
When benig behind the attacker:
- Bend knees and sit low behind the attacker.
- Keep arm's length and when the attacker turns try to step in between the body and the ball, without making a foul.
When facing the attacker:
- Bend knees and stand in angle. Don't face the attacker straight on.
- Attack the ball at the right moment, without make a foul.
- Explode away after winning the ball.
